Vocations
MORE VOCATIONS FROM HOLY FAMILY PARISH!!!
June 2 will be remembered as a milestone in the life of Holy Family Parish – Kapitolyo, Pasig, my former parish before my present assignment here in Tagaytay. I left the Holy Apostles Senior Seminarians behind (for whom I am facilitating a retreat), to join 4 of my Knights of the Altar (3 graduates of our parochial school and 1 from Lourdes School) and their families at the Guadalupe Minor Seminary where the boys were accepted as first year high school seminarians. 4 more seminarians from our parish and our school, what a blessing from the Lord! I accompanied these boys when they were taking their entrance exams and now I witnessed their first day in the long journey to their vocation as Christians and hopefully, as future priests. It was my promise that I would be there when they assume their new life as seminarians. I’m so happy to be able to fulfill that promise, even as their “former” parish priest!
Above are the new seminarians Ron, Dominic and Kyle with well-wishers and KOA buddies, Johnjohn, Kuya BJ and Stephen.
Some parish leaders came with me to greet the boys and their families. There’s Sis. Norma, PPC Treasurer, Sis. Cita, PPC President and Sis. Auring, Vocations Ministry Chairperson – posing with new seminarian Emmanuel and parents.
The Lauz family posing for a picture after sweating it out in cleaning the dorm of their seminarian, Emman (in green).
Kyle was accompanied by his mom and little brother. Kyle’s father is a seaman currently on his way to Australia – a happy voyage for a proud father.
Dominic and Ron posing with Nep, another seminarian from our parish, now a high school senior.
Praise the Lord for the gift of vocations. In Guadalupe Minor Seminary, we have 5 seminarians now (a senior and 4 freshmen). 2 other boys are entering the minor seminary of Antipolo (both graduates of our school).
There are 2 college seminarians from the parish who are now at the Salesian Seminary in Laguna.
Every parish must be a seedbed of vocations. Priest and people must engender vocations in the heart of young men and women so that there can be more laborers in the vineyard of the Lord.
Congratulations, Holy Family Parish. Keep praying and working for more vocations. Keep inspiring the young to follow Jesus with faith and courage. All the best Ron, Eman, Dominic and Kyle. God loves you!!!
